Fergo's Tackle World has been a family owned business since 1960, focused on providing anglers with the knowledge and gear to ensure they have the most fun possible while out fishing and on the water!
They have two Tackle World franchise stores located in NSW and an ever-growing eCommerce presence shipping Australia-wide. The Ferguson’s have been with Devote since November 2018.
Fergo’s wants to get the right advice in the hands of the right people so they can get out in the water and not just fish, but CATCH! The key goal we were tasked with is growing their eCommerce presence. Fergo’s Tackle World had a limited eCommerce presence before working with Devote Digital, so we needed to increase the 4 pillars of eCommercein order to start to see returns. Our focus has therefore been on growing website traffic, conversation rate, average order value and return customer rate.
The fishing industry is a highly competitive market, with very little points of difference between product offerings of competitors. Therefore, the challenge is to utilise the correct messaging at the right point in a customer's journey to ensure Fergo’s is the trusted brand when anglers are gearing up - and avoid the “race to the bottom” on pricing. We developed specific strategies to increase their 4 pillars by leveraging platforms such as: Google Paid search Google Display Banners Google Shopping Facebook & Instagram advertising, including Dynamic Facebook Advertising Email campaigns & automated email campaigns, as well as email database growth Chat Bots - ManyChat campaign strategy Website conversion rate optimisation strategies (although we don’t currently design/develop their website, but we will be in late 2020)
Since November 2018 together we have been growing their revenue by increasing the 4 pillars; traffic, conversation rate, average order value and return customer rate. Looking at the first five months of 2019 compared to the first five months of 2020 so far, together we have grown eCommerce revenue by 513.05%, conversion rate increase of 167.95% and traffic by 172.29% We’ve helped grow their social media following and email database, while managing profitable paid channels including Facebook, Instagram and Google advertising.
